Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 1, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how PhotoCleanse ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application ("the App").
1. Information Collection
The App requires access to your photo library to identify and manage duplicate photos. All media analysis and compression occur locally on your device, and the underlying photo or video files never leave it.
The App may collect limited diagnostic information such as anonymized device data, usage events, and crash reports to help us maintain performance and stability. This data excludes media content and is stripped of information that could directly identify you.
If you choose to contact our support team, any details you provide—as well as optional device and app metadata included to aid troubleshooting—are transmitted via your selected email client.
2. Use of Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide duplicate photo detection and management.
- Manage subscriptions via Apple's in-app purchase system.
- Improve the App's performance and reliability using aggregated diagnostics.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Photo data stays on your device.
We may share limited diagnostic information with carefully selected service providers that support analytics and crash reporting. They process this data on our behalf under contractual safeguards and may not use it for their own purposes.
Subscription payments are processed by Apple, and we do not access your payment details.
4. Data Security
Your photo data remains on your device and is not stored externally. We take reasonable steps to protect anonymized usage data, though it contains no personal information.
5. User Rights
The App collects minimal personal data. You can manage your subscriptions through the App Store. For questions, contact us at [email protected].
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we detect such data, we will delete it.
7. Third-Party Services
The App uses:
- Apple's In-App Purchase: For payment processing. See Apple's policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
- Diagnostics and Crash Reporting: To monitor app performance and resolve issues. These providers receive only anonymized diagnostic data, not your media files. See their privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
8. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We may update this policy. Changes will be reflected in the App, and we encourage periodic review.
9. Contact Information
